Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- ¾ cup Apple Sauce
- ¼ cup Agave Syrup
- 3 Tablespoons Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 pc Lemon, Zested and Juiced
- 2 Tablespoons Poppy Seeds
- ¾ cup Skim Milk
Directions
1. Preheat an oven to 400⁰F (200⁰C). Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
2. In a medium sized bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the apple sauce, agave, lemon juice and milk.
3. Combine the two bowls and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until homogenous. Next, spoon ¼ cup batter onto the wax paper, then repeat until all the batter has been used.
4. Place the scones in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown on the edges. Allow to cool for ten minutes, then serve warm.
