Poached Pear

Ingredients

  • 8 pc Pear
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Orange, zested and juiced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger

Directions

1. Place the honey, water, cinnamon, orange juice, orange zest and ginger in a medium sized cooking pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium low.

2. While the liquid is heating, peel the pears. Once the liquid simmers, place the pears in the liquid, and cook on low heat for thirty minutes, or until soft. Allow to cool for at least one hour, then serve with a few strawberries and orange sorbet if desired.
